"The value of an 80% finished project project on your hard-drive is: ZERO"

In this spirit, here is a side project I have been working on last year: =

The idea

Get a second opinion by on of the legends of investing, before you YOLO into the stock with your hard won savings.

What's fun is you can cross-compare Anthropic, OpenAi, Gemini and Grok models together, ... and pick from different specific styles. I am using all the latest models and in a round about way its a really good way to test the latest models.

Investment Styles:

  • Warren Buffett - Value investing. Looks for moats, management quality, intrinsic value.
  • Peter Lynch - GARP (Growth at a Reasonable Price). PEG ratios, finding "tenbaggers."
  • William O'Neil - CAN SLIM growth methodology. Earnings acceleration, relative strength.
  • Stanley Druckenmiller - Macro-driven. Reflexivity, asymmetric bets, catalysts.
  • Joel Greenblatt - Magic Formula. Earnings yield + return on capital.
  • Keith Gill - Deep value contrarian. Short interest, sentiment, turnaround plays.

Reports can be really opinionated and fun to read, they really feel like the Investor. Here is Opus 4.5 imitating Warren Buffett and destroying a company:

  • SQLite - Simple, file-based, no ops overhead
  • Exa - For web search during analysis

I am using https://exa.ai/ for search.
I wanted everything to be rendered server side rendered for a couple of reasons.

  • "no build"
  • Faster initial load
  • Search engines can actually index it
  • Easier to vibe code

For the first time since the 2000s, I’m working on a new Rails application without using any form of real build steps on the front-end. We’re making it using vanilla ES6 with import maps for Hotwire, and vanilla CSS with nesting and variables for styling. All running on a delightfully new simple asset pipeline called Propshaft. It’s al…
